Our Philosophy
The NAW Health Insurance Program was developed to assist member companies in aggressively
pursuing strategies to manage their healthcare costs. This vision is delivered through the
various medical plans available to member companies. A key component to these medical plans
includes the option to incorporate a consumer-driven healthcare strategy.
Simply put, consumer-driven healthcare empowers consumers to take more control of their
healthcare coverage. It typically includes lower premiums and puts the consumer (employee)
in charge of first-dollar healthcare expenditures. Consumer-driven healthcare generally
includes a high-deductible health plan and some combination of funds held in a tax-advantaged
account (i.e., health savings account, health reimbursement arrangement, etc.) to fund a portion of the
out-of-pocket costs.
With the NAW Health Insurance Program, each member company can develop their own consumer-driven
healthcare strategy, choosing medical plans and tax-advantaged solutions to fit each member company’s
needs and budget.
