Set-up Process
FlexHSA makes applying and managing your HSA simple:
Step 1: Get a HDHP
To have an HSA, employees and individuals must have a qualified HDHP in place. We can help you obtain your HDHP, by clicking here: Get a Health Quote.
Step 2: Get an HSA
Signing up for an HDHP does not automatically open an HSA. Employees and individuals may enroll in an HSA with FlexHSA by completing the enrollment application online or downloading and printing the application and other necessary forms, by clicking here: Get an HSA.
Step 3: HSA Opens
Within 3-5 business days, the HSA will be opened and the account holder will be able to make contributions. The account holder will receive a welcome kit within two weeks of the HSA opening-providing additional information, checks, debit card(s) and more.
Step 4: Using the HSA
HSAs were developed to give the account holder control of their healthcare, as well as their medical funds. To use the HSA, the account holder can write checks or use their debit card for immediate disbursements for eligible medical expenses. In addition, the account holder can access and manage their HSA online-utilizing the Personal Cash Manager (PCM) web application-by clicking here: Account Login. Step 5: Taxes
If the account holder contributes money to their HSA, they will be able to deduct their contributions from their gross income when filing their federal income taxes.
