Flex Sales Strategy!
An ideal way to market Nationwide Select to your group prospects and clients is to package it with an HSA-compatible plan design, an HRA to cover hospital and doctor visits, and let Nationwide Select do the rest.
The lower cost HSA-compatible plan design, which does not include prescription drug co-payments, can provide as much as 30% premium savings when compared with traditional plans. By separating this costly benefit item from the plan design, the business can then use those savings to provide employees with the added benefit of the fully-insured Nationwide Select drug card for a fraction of the costs.
NOTE: With this strategy, although an HSA-compatible plan design is utilized, a Health Savings Account (HSA) cannot be established, due to IRS regulations.
Also consider the business that does not currently offer health insurance coverage. Nationwide Select can be used as a stand-alone benefit, giving employees coverage for a critical item-prescriptions-at the fraction of the cost of a fully-insured group health plan
