What Types of Individual Life Insurance Plans Available for Your Clients?
Level Term Insurance – A level premium term life insurance has premium that is guaranteed to be the same for a given period of years. The most common terms are 10, 15, 20, and 30 years.
Return of Premium Term Insurance – With this type of level term life insurance policy, the insured is paid back all of their premiums at the end of the term. There is a pro-rated amount returned to the insured if the policy is cancelled before the end of the term.
Whole Life Insurance - Provides a level premium and cash value included in the policy and guaranteed by the insurance company. The primary advantages of whole life are guaranteed death benefits, guaranteed cash values, fixed and known annual premiums, and mortality and expense charges that will not reduce the cash value shown in the policy.
Universal Life Insurance - Intended to provide permanent insurance coverage with greater flexibility in premium payment and the potential for greater growth of cash values. There are several types of universal life insurance policies which include "interest sensitive" (also known as "traditional fixed universal life insurance"), variable universal life, guaranteed death benefit and equity indexed universal life insurance.
