Group Sales Consultant - Houston, Texas | Saas Technology

Summary: This position will work remotely out of their home reporting to our Dallas office and is accountable for meeting/exceeding goals by delivering technology-based demonstrations and group benefit solutions within a territory primarily in the Austin/San Antonio area.  Promote Flex’s products and services and the products of our General Agency carriers; build and foster new and existing insurance broker and client relationships; and learn to serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding health benefits and related products and services.
Key responsibilities include:
• Promote and deliver digital sales platform demonstrations, seminars, and webinars to enhance and streamline the client experience
• Consistently meets established objectives, appointment and prospecting goals.
• Identifies and develops relationships with new brokers and clients.  
• Meets with existing brokers and clients to increase sales opportunities.
• Participates in call campaigns to increase sales opportunities including cold calling.
• Provides consultative services to our brokers and clients to assist with their sales.
• Attends off-site meetings, appointments, and industry events to network and increase sales opportunities.
• Utilizes sales database and software tools to assist in managing territory.
• Advises brokers and clients on pertinent health insurance related issues that impact their business. Keep them informed of latest government regulations and product updates/changes.  
• Proactively communicates with brokers and clients to evaluate their level of satisfaction.
• Keeps abreast of market changes and regulations.  Participates in training and meetings. 
Requirements include:
• Experience in preparing and delivering demonstrations and/or sales using SaaS technology-based product distribution. 
• Minimum of 1-2 years of outside business-to-business sales experience with demonstrated record of success. 1-2 years of Group or Individual employee benefits experience required.  
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field a plus.
• Current applicable State Insurance Producer’s License – or the ability to obtain this license in the first three months of employment, which must be maintained throughout employment in the position. 
• Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, and efficient at meeting deadlines. 
• On average, 80% local travel required.  Must hold a valid driver’s license with no restrictions and possess own vehicle.
